The science
So what actually is Spinosad?
A naturally derived active ingredient — meaning it doesn’t come from a lab beaker. It comes from a soil bacterium called Saccharopolyspora spinosa, discovered in the ground at an abandoned rum distillery in the Caribbean. Sounds like a tall tale, but that’s genuinely how this one was found.
Since then it’s become one of the most respected naturally derived insecticides on the planet, because it ticks every box pest professionals actually care about:
